I dunno if you’ll consider it a late bloomer but I first fell in-love when I was 18. One day, I woke up and suddenly grabbed my mp3 player to listen to music before getting up. Alanis Morissette’s Head Over Feet played. I’ve listened to it for the nth time but for the first time, I could totally relate to it. That’s when I realized I was in-love.
I had no choice but to hear you
You stated your case time and again
I thought about it
You treat me like I’m a princess
I’m not used to liking that
You ask how my day was
You’ve already won me over in spite of me
And don’t be alarmed if I fall head over feet
Don’t be surprised if I love you for all that you are
I couldn’t help it
It’s all your fault
That love didn’t last though. It was tragic. But on the bright side, I was able to write songs about how I felt. These are songs about heartache.
Then, I found love again with another person but this time, everything felt so right. I was able to write my first ever love song…
It’s been a long, long time since the last time that I saw myself smile
Finally, I’ve seen the light that I’ve been praying for a while
You held my hand and took me to a place where everything feels so right
And now, I can see forever in your eyes…
And now, I’ve learned to right a love song
‘Cause you showed me how to love
Listen to my song
‘Cause this is what my heart wants you to know
I am so in-love
Don’t you ever doubt of what I’m saying
‘Cause baby I’m sure of what I’m feeling
Just take my hand and hold me close
Never let me go
‘Cause now, you are mine and I am yours
There’s nothing you can say or do
That will make me less love you
So, don’t you worry baby
‘Cause I will be here…
I wrote this four years ago but I still feel the same. 🙂
Sorry for the background noise on the video. XD
