This Week’s Happy List: Comfort Me

So, I haven’t posted as much lately because I’ve been thinking to revamp my blog like give it a new name and a new look and focus more on happiness posts. What do you think? Anyway, here are the things that made me smile this week…

Happy List

1. Snack of the Week: Oishi Sponge Crunch Cappuccino. This snack is so yummy! I loved the chocolate Sponge Crunch but when I tasted this flavor for the first time, I love this even more! This is a Filipino product so I’m not sure if it’s available in other countries.

2. Game App of the Week: Kim Kardashian Hollywood. Haha. Yeah, I’m kind of addicted to this game. Actually, not really because I feel lazy on photo shoots and all that but I dunno why I still play it. Anyway, the goal is to become an A-List celebrity. I’ve been playing it for a week and I’m still a D-lister. Poor me.

3. Movie of the Week: Reality Bites (1994). Just in the mood to watch a 90’s chick flick. It’s falling in-love with your bestfriend. Hihi.

4. Blogger of the Week: Sare from New Teacher Life. I know she’s been going through a rough time but I truly admire how she’s been handling it so far. This particular post made me smile. I also love the new look of her blog. Check it out!

5. Song of the Week: Word Crimes by “Weird Al” Yankovic. Heard this first through Miss L at Ramblings of an NQT. I’m kind of guilty of being a grammar police, too but as you can see, I’m not even perfect with my own grammar. Haha. I think this parody is brilliant.

What made you smile this week? Tell me! πŸ™‚

This is such a good idea – maybe to get more happy and positive about the things around me. Not that I’m stealing your idea or anything….. guilty face xxxxx

Love this list! I’ve heard so much about the Kim K game (I’ve got some friends who are serious shameless addicts haha). I really feel like I just have to give it a go now!
And I love how you make your own little graphics – they look amazing!

The song is indeed clever. πŸ™‚ I’m thinking to change my theme. You’re using custom design, right? Is it worth it? I’m interested in Expound, too. Checked your blog and you’re using that theme.

I was worried about spending the money, but have found that it is worth it. One of the primary benefits for me is all of the free help I get!! When I can’t figure out how to change the color on the sidebar or something doesn’t look quite right, I post it to the CSS forum and someone either tells me how to fix it OR they go in and fix it for me. I like being able to change the font, font sizes and colors. Otherwise, I’m never 100% happy. I changed to Expound because my daughter who follows a lot of travel blogs told me that she likes being able to see a sampling of what a blog has to offer. She said that was hard to do on my old one because you had to scroll and scroll and scroll through all of the posts. This is called a magazine format, I believe. I can’t wait to see what you go with!! You really have a great eye for design. πŸ™‚

Thanks for the good advice! Yes, I want to try the magazine format. πŸ™‚ And I want to learn how to edit CSS like I want to use fonts which are not included in the Typekit options if it’s possible. Anyways, maybe I can ask help from the CSS forum, too. πŸ™‚

I have a cousin who’s really good into this. When I was in college and we had a project of creating our own magazine, I asked him to teach me basic stuff and that’s how it started. Hehe. I already forgot some of the things he taught me. Good thing, there are a lot of tutorials availabe out there that we can use. πŸ™‚
