Life Soundtrack: Bad Luck or Blessings?

It’s the first day of December! I know people in America just celebrated Thanksgiving Day last Thursday and it’s one of those holidays I wish we had in the Philippines. Oh well, I guess we can still be thankful and express our gratitude in different ways.

Anyways, we only have a month to go before this year ends and I can’t wait for 2015. My boyfriend says I’m unlucky this year. I don’t believe in luck or in bad luck but yeah, this year has not been so good to me. Remember these events?

I always say, “Oh, I’m not lucky, I’m blessed!” But what if I feel like I’m experiencing the opposite? These songs just answered my question.

Blessings by Laura Story

What if your blessings come through rain drops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

Stronger by Mandisa

When the waves are taking you under
Hold on just a little bit longer
He knows that this is gonna make you stronger, stronger
The pain ain’t gonna last forever
And things can only get better
Believe me
This is gonna make you stronger

The second song got me dancing!

I know that God has great plans for me and I will trust Him. 🙂

How’s 2014 treating you? What are you thankful for?

I think by calling something a challenge, we allow ourselves to overcome it, to take control. Bad is just bad, there’s no way out. I’m all about the power in words!
