Look! I Just Gave My Blog a Makeover.

Finally, I got the motivation to revamp my blog. I think it looks so girly now. πŸ™‚ I’m just too obsessed with pink and turquoise combination these days. Haha. Besides the new theme and header, here are some things you’ll notice on my blog:

1. New About Me Image. I changed my photo to a more recent one since the one I had before was already five years old.

2. My Blog Button. Yes, you can already grab it or we can swap. πŸ™‚

3. Customized Sidebar Titles. Yay! I feel so happy that I was able to do all the customizations I want without spending money. Thanks to my bff, Photoshop.

4. Important: New Blog URL. The one I had before was https://waxyworld.wordpress.com and I decided to change it to https://waxsworld.wordpress.com. Spotted the difference? This might cause confusion to my old readers but I think my URL should match my blog name now. I was just afraid of not putting the apostrophe when I first created it. I guess grammar doesn’t work with URLs.). Hahaha.

Note: If you love my blog, you can also follow me on Bloglovin. I deleted the old one and replaced it with an updated URL so I have 0 followers at the moment.

And this is what I did all weekend. Special thanks to Diana from Diana’s Adventures for her useful tutorial on editing images. Blogging tutorials is not my expertise so if you got inspired to revamp your own blog, head over to Diana’s site. πŸ™‚

Wow, how’d you do those pink title buttons on the sidebar?? The ones that say “Let’s Connect”, “Follow via Email”, “Top Posts & Pages” etc. etc. I’ve always disliked WordPress’ rigid customization rules, but seeing your site, i guess imagination is really just the limit. πŸ™‚

I just made them through Photoshop and saved them in .png format. Then, you can use the Text or Image widget to post them before the real widget. Just erase the default title or replace them with space so titles won’t appear redundantly. πŸ™‚
